I'm not trying to gender discriminate stereotype or imply that women are less intelligent than men. It is harder for a woman of my generation to identify stuff like this. it's just a reflection of experience not intelligence okay this is about 14 in Long and made out of some type of metal that will Rust and the long part is wrapped in a spring.

Not much reference as to size in the OP pic. The "handle" looks more like it is to be turned with the fingers as opposed to being grasped by the hands as with a faucet handle.

No issue here asking for help with trying to identify mystery items, like TP says, a lot of us post things, myself included, asking for help. Heck I've got stuff now I have no idea what they are. I could fill up a large "I have no idea" bucket a whole lot quicker than the time it would take me to fill up a "I know what this is" cup. This is the place to come and learn.
