Yes, any rejected VDI number will eliminate both trash and goodies. It's important to get to know the site so you can select the correct program. I use the H Digs 82 only on homesites where I do not expect coins earlier than 1909. The four custom programs that I posted are to be used in combination with the Pre-Set Programs White's supplies. If you look at all nine programs you will find levels of discrimination for almost any hunting condition. I like to hunt in layers with different settings, usually starting with my coin program. But, at older sites I eventually end up with very little discrimination. When you are ready for that type of hunting Whites RELIC is as good as any. Just customize the settings to fit your style. Sorry Wingmaster, I reread this post and realize I didn't answer your question. H Digs Pre 82 does not accept those numbers and would take out half dimes. H Digs Coins or H Digs Mixed Mode would be a better choice for finding those coins. MM can be turned off for general searching and used as a Relic/Coin program that will accept older coins. Turn MM on for the deep ones! Let me know how it works for you. H Digs
