XLT+DC PHASE = Ya'll got to see this one! UPDATED PICS!

Wow what a find ! After having to cut my dig short yesterday at a new spot short I decided to head out today and beat the rain and do some swingin . Glad I did after scoring 3 musket balls, and 3 .54 cal three ringers I hit a signal faint but at a 85 which I was thinking deep bullet so away I started digging 1 foot nothing solid signal , and finally at two feet literally I found some iron at first I thought artillery shell but after diggin out a 2 foot x 3 foot hole I pulled it from the ground and just had to sit down for a moment after realizing I had just found one of the coolest things I have ever found a 1800's slave shackle and chain . To me this is a" banner find "as you dont see one of these found everyday . I put a picture of the a example I believe looks closest to the one I found . I had video tapped it but unfortunatly I forgot to turn the volume up so I will try again on the video thing next weekend ! Thanks for looking ! Did electrolysis on it and for 3 days and not to good of a result but I found a new product im using from now on its called METAL RESCUE and DRY COAT . This stuff is the bomb it did more in 3 hr than electrolysis did in three days ! Still working on the chain will post pics all together when its done !

Thanks everybody , I am hoping I will be able to post a pic of the shackle preserved tomorrow evening , its almost done then I have to do the chain.

Cool find ! You got my vote thats something you dont see everyday looking forward to seeing it cleaned up !

New picture of the shackle uptop , I am very impressed with that metal rescue and will be trying out the dry coat product as well. I have the chain soaking over night ....

IMG_1938.JPG finally finished and preserved !

I was hoping the chain would have turned out better but did the best I could with it ,but the shackle is good and solid hoping to get back the site and find the big pin

Now that is pretty freaking cool ! Got my vote to ! As soon as I figure out how to that im a newby !
