Found these at my Parent's home today, with my Ace 250. They registered at the nickel when dug up, higher when underground. Their home is about 130 years old. My parents have lived there for over 30 years. My great grandparents bought the house as a young couple, my grandfather and his brother ( whom died in the Battle of the Bulge), were born there. Most likely these belonged to my grandfather , which makes them beyond special to me. I found one previously last year . Apparently they were sold By Sears Roebuck and co. They were sold in a kit where children would melt lead and pour it into molds. ( very safe;). Best part, I'm pretty positive there are more. I found the same signal within inches of these , but oddly, the ground was froze solid there... So I must wait to look. image-171672924.jpg image-2364632196.jpg

Now that's a pretty neat find, thanks for sharing. HH

Nice finds. One thing I must say is you are right about those coming from a childes toy. I have a few sets of those molds some were.

I found a couple of WW II type lead soldiers last year and one on my last hunt. Probably dated in the 50s'. Surprisingly, lead sounds high on my CTX.

I find a lot of lead on my hunts and I save it to melt down and cast as well. It is safe if you do it correctly.
