A short hunt of just over 2 hours. Nothing good till the last 10 or 15 minutes.
2 Silver dimes came almost back to back, and they made my day, I certainly don't get Silver every time out.
The next pass I get a higher signal, and thinking / hoping it might be a Silver Q., nope much better, out pops a hat badge, my first, and it's in great shape, not crusty, not bent, and complete down to the lugs, the pin is even still there. Makes me wonder how it got lost ?

I didn't know exacrly what it was till I got home and got the dirt off, and glasses on.

found quite a few old coins, but this is my first cap badge, so I'm pretty pleased with this day.

That's an amazing find. When can I expect to find one of those? :-)
