The Legend
Today I went hunting very early, there were few but I'm not complaining

On the surface I found this glass button, who knows how old it is

About 3 inches down I found this bronze button.

Nice black glass button 👌
Can't make out the maker's name on the watch case.
Possible light pencil over paper might reveal something.

Your H. T. and Sons button is from the company Hammond Turner and Sons. This variety was made during the period 1823-1865. They have an online museum and your button might be accepted and shown among other HT buttons found by metal detecting.
Here's their history and portal to submit your button.
Good luck-and great finds.
