Found this at a civil war site, but not sure if it's civil war or an old firemans badge. It has a broken pen back on reverse. 1533881_629127567123432_231888200_n.jpg1530509_629127580456764_833909708_n.jpg

I know some of the old Civil war buttons and stuff would have a V for volunteer, but the thing looks similar to firemans badge. It's old for sure and I have got CW bullets all around where I found this. The center part with the V is about the size of a quarter.

......Generally,a button with a "V",in a sheild on an eagles chest, stands for Voltiguers....kind of the first Pre CW "Special Forces",if you will....
