Beach hunting has been good to me. I was Beach hunting after dark when i got this low tone on my E-TRAC, I yelled to my wife White Gold!! with a Diamond!!
Then i gave the ring to my wife and went back hunting. It wasn't till we got home and really looked at it and WOW!! :icon_sunny: Platinum..I have been hunting
the beaches in SC. for 8 years now, i have found Gold,Silver,Toys but never a Ring with this kind of value. I took it to a jewelery store and they appraised it at
$5200 Still Shocked!! I was hunting in the wash out area and big holes when i got the signal about 8" down was this Ring..(Inside the ring is PT900)
There is no name inside, would be nice to find owner.

Awesome ring. Congratulations on the find and the banner. Odd that the prongs are not symmetrical. The one that is seemingly out of place does not look bent. What do you make of that?

The prong is bent and also the ring, Jeweler says about $50 to repair..

Damn nice paperclip there!

That ring is wayyyy beyond awesome! Congrats!! :headbang: :headbang: :o

You said it gave a low tone on your E-Trac. Do you remember the numbers it gave by any chance? Just curious. :P

Congrats on an exceptional find and making the Banner.

I think there sould be a " Drool " award for a find like that..... way beyond Banner... :o

Great Find....

Some rings are throwaways..

I was driving a married couple near Morrison,Co back in 1989. The two got into a big fight. She told him to shove it up his you-know-what then yanked her beautiful gold and diamond ring off and threw it out the passenger side window off a bridge into a little creek. The ring is still there.

I understand THAT. Somewhere in Oklahoma, somewhere between Tulsa and the Missouri line, is my old wedding set - thrown for all I was worth, off the side of road, back in the 60's. Good luck to who ever finds them - I am sure they are cursed! :laughing7: :laughing7: :laughing7:

What is the size of that rock? I am told by someone in the diamond business that large stones are getting extremely hard to find and that one looks huge. I am guessing that is a very conservative estimate you got. I would have guessed more like $8,000.00 Monty

very nice ring i dont have much luck at beach hunting. I found my first diamond ring few months back, and either i dropped it or stolen two weeks later. I wil;l stick to land. lol Great find. HH Mark

Sent this out to be repaired, buffed and pollished it should look nice will post new pic when i get it back.... :icon_sunny:

It may technically be owned by some insurance company now. :D

Yes, if you are avidly searching for the owner right now you should try the local Lost and Found Ads. There may even be a reward. :laughing7:
Then again, it may have been a decade since that was lost. :dontknow:
