Wow!! I Finally Dig a Silver Coin From the 1700's!!

After all these years of metal detecting I finally dug a silver coin from the 1700's! It's a 1748 Spanish Real! I stared hunting this morning at 9am and didn't find the Real until 5:30 pm! It would be my only silver coin for the day, but I'll take it. This is my first Spanish Real! The Real was only about 3 inches deep in another one of our common gopher infested areas. There was quite a lot of gopher activity around the coin, they may have brought it up. Also dug 1 wheatie and a strange looking medallion.
So I'm stoked about the Real!!

I would say that was a very special occasion! I notice that you have been digging a year longer than me and I have never dug a 1700's coin. Good job!
