Went out today for a short hunt to a field I love hunting. Changed my approach and have slowed down. It paid off huge today.

I found a really nice 1853 seated half dime down about 6". It's the one with arrows. Haven't cleaned it up at all but I can read "liberty" through a loupe.

What a thrill!!!

Will update with cleaned pics. Distilled water and a cottonball

Wow what a thrill

Congratulations on your first seated coin! I dug my first half dime about a week ago. They sure are tiny. Yours has more detail than mine does. Again, Congratulations!

It's sitting on top of a clad dime. A friend wanted a comparison shot.

I find a lot of the Canadian "FISHSCALE" 5 cents. They are tiny too, but lady liberty sure made my heart beat faster.

Man a just sat on the ground and laughed. I haven't laughed like that out of sheer joy in a while.

It will be on my next vid.

It was so tiny!!!!!! I love American old silver. So beautiful.

Congrats on that tiny beauty!

Congrats on the half dime!! That's one coin that still eludes me! HH, Finman

That's awesome! Congrats! I look forward to seeing the cleaned up pics. Clean it gently!

This little girl will take a day or so to get ready for the ball. Any recommendations on best way to clean it up?
