Yep looks like that bullet passed threw a bit of soft tissue (flesh).

Here is another I found last week.. sometimes they can be pretty cool. This a was a three ringer

I think, depending on the size, they are the lead caps from roofing nails. Nail caps are about 3/8" in diameter.
