Since I got skunked today I thought I would post a pic of what I earned for a half days work on Sunday. Lil nugget (.85 dwt, 20 dwt= 1 troy ounce), 1 ounce Engelhard Prospector, $100 FRN. Not bad for helping out a friend and it felt good getting paid in PM's too. Here's a couple pics. HH Mark

Skunks for me too here. But I did manage to find a few wheats.

I have found that pre 82 pennies will work great for dredge weights to hold me under water. So i am going to save up 50 lbs

Are you going to be at the Point Bar or woodys claim come the first?

I also managed to find a steel cent in the bag I got today. Have not seen one of them in a long time, my first found in the "wild"

Camping and dredging in the snow is not on the agenda. I think runoff is coming early and hard this year, and I expect the river will run brown for a long time. I have to have two week vacation to make it worth taking the monster down and I'm not gonna get one first part of the year. Actually trying to sell the monster and get something smaller I can take out on weekends and such- as it is the dredge is occupying my trailer and I don't have any place else to store it. Good luck to ya if you go, the river will be at record levels this year with 170% snowpack. HH Mark

Is that a 6 inch? Yikes

I figure I will suffer though it, i am itching to get out and up to get some work done. With the water higher I can hit the banks a bit better, hopefully this will turn up and move all kinds of fine gold. At least I hope.

what kinda yields were you getting with that dredge in a day?
