Well I'm still doing the construction routine until next spring when I get my Paramedic. Its paying off treasure hunting wise as well as a paycheck. About a month ago I found a bunch of bottles under a house. I managed to sell the ones I didnt want for 50 bucks. Not bad if you ask me. Skip to today.
I am working on a store/apartment remodel. My boss say lets go up stairs and check out these fire places he wanted to sell. He had already pulled one off the wall and a 1915 post card poped out. He said he had looked around it and that's all that came out. Well I notices a little crack in the tiles, peal them back and out comes a gold locket. Its marked 12k on it and you can see whats inside of it below. Now, I'm stoked. I keep looking and out comes this little silver monument. On the back its say something about "Wyoming Valley" 1778-1928". I don't know anything about this. Hopefully I'm do some research tomorrow and find out a little more.
I have always heard about things hidden behind mantels but now I'm a believer. I know its not treasure hunting in the normal sense. But If I cant swing a detector why not this?
Thanks for looking
