Went to Walmart tonite and we are very cash strapped cause of my surgery and helping my daughters. Wife spend money on cat and dog food so i wandered off. All of a sudden i saw green cash in a roll on da ground. :headbang: Well she walked up and said are you going to check the coinstar. Nope i replied i found green in da aisle. Anyway she asked why are you in such a good mood all of a sudden. Wait till we get home i will show you.:headbang: Well i reached in my back pocket and threw da cash on the table. Came out to $51 and she felt bad for the person that lost . Well pilgrams she took $10 from me so she aint that sorry. :laughing7:

I'll add just one more thought. Maybe someone from a retail outlet will know. But, when they go to the cash safe to get change. Like more ones, fives, etc. Don't the safe dispense this cash in small rolls? Just a thought.

I have done the exact same thing, Chizzy. Found a wad of money in a snow bank at a convenience store after a recent plowing. Gave the manager my name and number, but never got a call.
Agreed.......I would inform the store manager that "a sum" of loose bills were found and in my possession and leave my name and number with the manager. If someone would inquire about any lost cash, they would have to know the amount lost. The store manager would then contact me with the amount, if stated correctly, it would be returned.............

No. At least in my experience. Those are drop safes supposed to slow down robbers except these days you have crackheads that will rob a place & shoot a cashier and maybe security guard for $60. You mostly see them in 7-11s Circle Ks etc. Most of the places I've worked over the years. Mostly where I've been they had a safe in a "counting room" It had two sections one to hold the till drawers and one to hold the cash from the days transactions. It'd be too time consuming to run around with a bunch of coin tubes dropping them and they'd curl the bills making them stand up in the drawers. Then you have to add in the fact that you're working with cahiers that can barely count to ten without taking their shoes off!!!

Just a thought, that's all. I recall seeing a cashier go to something, needing some smaller bills for their drawer. They got back a rolled up bit of bills. Flattened them out and put them in their drawer. I was just thinking that someone getting smaller bills for one of the cashiers just might had dropped a roll like that, again, just a thought.

Personally, if I find a wad of cash on the ground, I climb up on the nearest counter, car roof, steps and announced at the top of my lungs that I just found some money! Anyone lose this!?!? ;) :tongue3:
