I still feel like a newbie when it comes to finding civil war sites to hunt. It's disheartening because they are the reason I got into this hobby to begin with and I haven't found one CW relic yet, I mean c'mon, I live in Richmond, Va! Let's face it, I'm doing something wrong.
If someone can "donate" a site I don't care if it is hunted out, I think I need some first hand experience. I'd love if someone could include me on a hunt, or point one out to me, or give me better advice on finding one that won't take a year to get permission to hunt.
I have tried using a vast array of online resources as well as google earth and historical society records. I just think it would help to actually go to one and have an "in person" experience.
