Here is a pic. of some ammo that I've dug up in the last 2 months. Included is a 9mm hollow point, two 22's, a 12 ga. shell bottom, a 16 ga. shell bottom, a 30-30 rifle shell, and last but not least the center shell that has me stumped. I dug this out of an old yard and it has 38 caliber shell, but here's where it gets interesting. It has a wooden top (as you can see by the hole in the side) with small shot balls inside. Any historians out there with knowledge of old ammo? The wooden top is out of my realm of understanding.......Thanks for any thoughts.........Goadster from Ohio
