Just like the title says, I was out making my usual Saturday rounds and in between sales, I happened to stumble across many more that were not marked online.
One sale in particular was an estate sale and I was the 2nd parson to attend. The first guy had a piece of silver jewelry or two so I went to look for more and found the mother lode. He completely missed the hidden compartment in the bedside jewelry box that was stuffed with silver and gold, including (2) 10k football charms from the late 30s. There were some silver necklaces rings, cuffs and a 14k bracelet. All of the flatware came out of the kitchen and living room.
All said and done, I picked up 500g+ of Sterling (17 ounces), 5g of 14k and another 9g of 10k.
The book is āThe Secret Life of Salvatore Daliā and the other 2 hardcovers are worth a bit but Iāll read them first. My improvised carry container is a beautiful Wagner Ware cast iron pan which Iāll clean/season this weekend and give it away for a Christmas gift. Itās so caked with old grime you can hardly read the name so itāll need a long soak in my lye bucket but they come out beautiful when restored properly.
