Wisconsin moonstone (short video of the schiller)

I hand polished (amatuer job) the one face of this Anorthoclase feldspar crystal, and it really helped the schiller effect pop. You can see on the reverse rough side more of the schiller that could probably be worked to look pretty good. Collected in north central WI.





Im better at shooting still images than video but felt this warranted it.

Yep that is cool! I found some unintentionally once while digging out a smokey quartz pocket. I had one piece that i was able to smooth out and polish into a teardrop shape. Yours looks more "blue" than mine, I like that!

Very nice! I believe the effect in moonstone isn't technically called shiller, but Adularescence.
