Winter Stubble Field...

Only had time for 2.5 hours today but although freezing, it was at least dry & sunny.

Not much as usual off this field but with a Roman Fibula (Brooch) in the pouch it wasn't a bad day.
Strangely its our second fibula off this field with only 1 Roman Coin to go with it. Never had a site with Fibula that didn't have plenty of coins, so these are all pretty random losses in the middle of no-where.

With the number of Medieval Buckles we have found, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a hammered silver

Next Sat. we will return to the Roman Site & hope its been graded. If not we will stick on the big coils & try the productive area again.

Glad your back on the board.

Snow's gone, but the ground is half froozen & temps at -3.

Snow's is OK unless more than 4inches. Land availability is the issue, but we will struggle until better times.
