Mother nature has finally slowed me down from beach detecting so I had to do something related to MDing. Last weekend I played with the credit card and bought the parts for a straight shaft and today I put it together. May have to adjust the length some but won't know for sure until I go out and swing it. Easiest thing I've ever put together and I can't speak highly enough for the plugger shaft clamp, I wouldn't want one without it.
Real light weight and I can really cover some beach with it now and if it doesn't work out for me, I can always go back to stock.... no original parts were harmed with this mod...... :-)

Looks very nice. I have the orginal for my Sov GT because I sometimes mount the S-1 inline probe on the shaft, but that adds to much weight so I mount the whole thing in a bag. I never was a fan of the arm cuff, but have to get used to it for control.
