I found this medal in an alley. It had been run over by cars and pressed into the dirt.
I cleaned it up and I am trying to find information on it. Any help would be appreciated.
It is 1 3/4" in diameter and about 3/16" thick. No mounting brackets so must have
been presentation piece. Weighs 1.55 ounces. It is coated with acrylic so without
tearing it up more, I can't determine the metal. The front and back metal is gold colored and the rim is silver colored.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I found the link you referred to but I can't find any information about the medal.

I don't know. But, boy I bet that was something to see laying there! Gold coin?!?! My mind would've gone into overdrive! lol

Nice!

Actually, it was a caliche and gravel alley. It had white sediment covering it and until I cleaned it off
I just thought it was a piece of junk.
I found the organization easily, but I can't find an email or contact info for them.
