here it is - you can see it has a fluer de lis design at the top and bottom --in the center is a "map" of florida with cuba to the bottom right -- thinking eithervery early fremch or spanish after 1701 due to the fluer de lis --but it also has what appears to be a "three feather" type design of the prince of wales (thus english) on each side -- the map of florida appears to be of a very early crude design as well ---its a made of copper / bronze make up --its being shown bigger than life size to show detail --good luck folks -- its been driving me batty.

oh by the way --- the area it was found at had everything from 1560's era french settlers to 1600, 1700 & 1800 spanish to 1700 & 1800 english all living and warring around the spot at various times . (so 1560 to 1821 time frame and french, spanish or english most likely but others are possible as well)

if it is id ed to my satisfaction -- the prize is a nice condition 1891 austrian 1 kreuzer coin not big bucks but nice .

hum the british were in control of florida from 1763 to 1783 (florida was actually the 14th colony of "america" during the war --but because it stayed british loyal during the "war" and was later turned over to the spanish again (1783v tom 1821)before becoming part of the USA in 1821--ithat "fact" s never never "talked" about in history classes --only the "original "13" are spoke of") and the location where the cuff link was found in , did have british folks there during the 1763 / 1783 time frame -- good nuff -- for a coin -- where do you want it sent PM me.

---it "fits" --within a 30 year window time frame wize of the other one you showed --oval design matches --color is similar -- basic design fits -- so most likely in my veiw --its a florida (1763 to 1783) english colonial era cuff link halve.

Hi all Looks like a locket lid or a enclosed cameo lid. pressed copper was very popular in Victorian Era The # feathers of the Prince of Wales would have had the Crown above .This relic doesn,t. I would say once plated with silver. Nice find all same . origin unknown.
