Back in 1998, I got the Privlege Of Being the First & Only Person allowed to Search A Swimming Area EVER

I didn't keep COMPLETE Records Back then But With My whites 6000-D detector, Once I started Keeping Records, I Found over $80.00 in 16 Days, Many Gold & silver Rings, Silver Coins,Etc.
? My Best Day "RECORDED THERE"? 204 coins .

? 1999 was the last Time I searched it & only Once with My Sovereign. I Did Find a 14K Gold Pearl Ring that day.

? ?Back Then I DIDN'T DIG FOIL READINGS.

AFTER they Had the DANCE HALL/ SKATING RINK torn Down, They Removed The Fence Surrounding the place, and Others Have SNUCK in and Searched Without Permission. I know this, Because When I saw Others searching, I would Stop to Talk & ask.

? ? ?I sent a Letter Last Friday to the Owner, Asking IF I could Give It another Try Stating, That I know Others Do Without Permission, and I Cannot Do That & asked If I could SEARCH Again.

? ? ? I recieved Permission Letter Today.

? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?HIS EXACT WORDS :

? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?"GO AHEAD, GOOD LUCK. GOLD BULLION WE SPLIT"
? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? & his Signature.

? ? ;D ;D ;D ;D

? ? ? ? ? ?Place Was Swimming LAKE during Summer & ICE LAKE for Making & Selling ICE in the 1870's

and later Became PUBLIC SWIMMING pool.

? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?NOW all I need Is Good Weather? :(

PICS ARE POOR, First one Shows Place when it as a Natural Lake.

Re: I have To Split GOLD BULLION :-(

Thanks For Looking And The Well Wishes Everyone.
I just Got Back From Looking The Place Over.
IT'S BEEN AWHILE.
Thought We were Going To need to Take A Lawn Mower.
Good News We DON'T.
Bad News Neighbor is Treating it Like Theirs & Mowing MOST of it.
Grass is Emaculate 'sans' the Yellowing of Fall.
I now Have a Little "HUNCH", that We are Going to get a Visit From an IRATE neighbor at some point.
? ? I AM SURE GLAD I HAVE A PERMISSION STATEMENT.
I'm also Taking the Old Pics & am going to the tax records again to get a map of the land, borders.
just in case.

Good job on the research, Jeff. I like the look of the place. I'm sure that the trash to treasure ratio will be high at first but when you hit.... look out! Congrats and HH! Chris

Re: I have To Split GOLD BULLION :-(

Sounds, & looks like a great site. I have seen a few old photo's of some similar sites here in Indy, but they are so far away I haven't had the chance to get to them and check them out. I have sen aerial photos, and the lakes are still there, just not sure if their on private property or what... Think I might do some scouting this winter and see what we got...
Good luck with the site, Happy hunting~

I used The Sovereign Today.
Place Has Been Hunted Heavy, the Last 7 Years,
So I wanted the W.O.T. Coverage Advantage.
I plan On Hitting it Hard with The Sovereign, Then When Signals Dwindle,
Switch to the Explorer, and get all the Tiny Deepies.

Re: I have To Split / UPDATE 3 Hour Hunt.

Congrats and good for you Jeff! Don't let those stupid neighbors bully you off your hunt! Keep us posted on your goodies. Thanks for the pics. ;D

Happy Hunting,

Moon

Re: I have To Split / UPDATE 3 Hour Hunt.

Great haul Jeff glad to see you could stand the weather, I'm still waiting, at this point I think my wait will be till next year with the forecast the way they are. Why so they call it a Lake, did it dry up or did they drain it for some reason? HH stay warm. :)
