Will this SCOTUS decision help out small-scale miners?

Saw this article on another forum I visit, and after reading it I started
to wonder if this decision might set a precedent that would be beneficial
to small-scale miners.

I don't have a great legal mind, but those of you that do might see a
potential benefit for miners.

WOW ! very interesting article! an update on these pending questions from the Courts would also be interesting to read whenever they get around to stating them. Thanks for posting this DD !

From what I'm seeing in the article Mike is that the Supreme Court is opening up the path for the people and states to challenge the vague wording of many of the NFS (as well as many other alphabet government agencies) rules and regulations. Laws and regulations that are open to interpretation should be challenged and either repealed or reworded so they're crystal clear. That levels the playing field (something that many of the alphabet gang don't want) so all the players know the rules.

It is unfortunate that we live in a time when many members of "The Alphabet Gang" are flexing their muscles in an effort to garner more power and thus a larger budget in the future. In their eyes, money is power. Miners have seen this in many areas already. When the EPA pulled their armed raid on the mines in Chicken, Alaska, many people that had no idea that this kind of thing was going on had their eyes opened up and they didn't like what they saw one bit. Many a miner has had their rights infringed upon by agencies ranging from the EPA to the NFS. Weather it's by individuals working for those agencies or policies of district supervisors exceeding the mandate of their respective agencies, miners have been on the front lines in this battle to reign in the blatant overstepping of authority by these various agencies. That this decision came due to a problem that a hunter had only goes to show the truth of what many here have said in the past. "Once they get done with us (miners) they'll be coming after you!".
