That point I suspect is a variation of others. The notching on it is from the side up as in the calf creek. Yet the thinning and rounded stem seems to be unique to that type in the area. This info comes from seeing a few collection from the southern part of NM, and that end of Texas. . It has some distinct things going on with them. To be honest it may not be typed.

we sometimes find banded or striped material, do you have a example to what your referring to? we are still learning the materials from our area lc.

is what the calf creek looking stuff in the area is called. I suspect that point is a bit small for that, but who knows.
Will keep looking.

The striped is what I am talking about. it is a material that is common in the area, though the further north it goes away. It is used from cloves to modern times, yet does not seem to be transferred out of the area.
I know of one Archy that calls it ranceria due to the micro fossils in it , yet the chert is not in the ranceria levels of the limestone formations it comes from.

Strangely enough Edwards chert does come into the area or there is an undiscovered source. I need to do a bit more research into the Edwards situation.
