Why Do I Put Up With Curse Of Oak Island.

I only watch because I visited the Oak Island museum in 1981 on my honeymoon. I left there unconvinced and am still waiting to hear an explanation for why it was necessary to bury treasure so deeply.

We see better finds and stories posted here on tnet often!

Aside from the doofus narrator, one of the worst things is the railroad spike that was identified as a deck spike off a ship. Oh, and Rick trying to sound so sophisticated with his extensive vocabulary. And everytime they find something good, it's "Well, let's call it a day," when there's still plenty of daylight left. But, like many, I continue to watch.
And the episode where the “expert” cooed “Oh, look at this, an old horse shoe!” as he held aloft an ox shoe. I was watching with my wife and she was afraid I’d have a coronary. 😂

It's all for TV, heck, Jersey Shore cast members got $40,000-$150,000 PER EPISODE!!!

I'll still watch, as I like the entertainment. Nothing more.

I'm surprised the cast doesn't get whiplash every time they jerk their heads when the looney guest of the week says Templar.

YAHOO had a post saying they found the treasure - but they have not shown on tv yet :dontknow:

I'll admit to watching it if there is nothing interesting on the Animal Planet channel. It can be good for a laugh when they reach such quick conclusions about the identity of an artifact or what it means. I'm reminded about a line from Mark Twain about wholesale return of conjecture based upon trifling investment in evidence.

I don’t know how many seasons it’s been now, but has anyone else noticed that when Marty and Rick are sitting side by side being interviewed, I guess, they’re still wearing the same clothes season after season ? And Rick looks about half plastered, his nose is nearly purple.
