Who uses the 5x8 DD ATP coil?

I use the ctx and the deus, but I use my At Pro a lot as well and I don't take my 5x8 off, its a bad AS$ coil

Absolutly agree 5x8 just turns the pro into another whole machine, watching ur vids Man that ctx keeps popin in my head im thinking with the 3 I got now that one would make a nice addition lol

Hey frog21! Had the opportunity to field test the 5x8 last weekend with my ole treasure hunting buddy in Florida last weekend! He has covered more dirt than most and bought the ATP on my rec after I obtained mine!! Tight Pattern and Depth Excellent!! Of course my old unit was a Garrett Groundhog, if that tells you how long I have been at the business!! Very Comfortable and Great Balance!! I am going to spend the money!! Excellent in Tight Spots!! GOOD HUNTING!! VERDE!!

Well this thread answers my question if I should get the Garrett AT Pro Spring Sport pack that comes with the extra 5x8 coil or not!?!?!?

Sound like the extra $75 odd bucks for the 5x8 coil and both covers a long with a new bag and hat and a no brainer.

I have a bad back to and it sound like from this thread that the smaller coil is WAY better on weight and in turn should be much better on my back if it's lighter and more well balanced overall.

Glad to see how well this things works as compared to the stock coil.

It's been a while since someone last posted in here ... how well is this smaller coil holding up and is their any further side by side depth and target data between the two anywhere

FalconMan515, The 5x8 will win you over. Once you use it, the only time you will want the bigger coil is on a wide open pasture or beach. There is minimal depth difference, and much better target separation in trashy areas. The balance is even better. The AT Pro Spring Special is a great package.
