This pewter utensil handle is another find from near where a Midwest dwelling built about 1810 once stood. Below are various pictures of the 4 marks found on it. The last pic is where I maxed the temperature and saturation. My guess is that they are either script “Fwne” or “Twne”. However, I wasn’t able to find that either on TNet or the internet – at least pertaining to utensils. What do you think the 4 letters are? Are they a manufacturer’s mark and if so, of who? If not, what do they represent?
