Just my opinion...but this band always ROCKED



I grew up in the 70's and 80's with five older sisters, I rebelled against music like the Bee Gee's, Andy Gibb, and about a billion other cream puff bands that they all made me listen to when I was younger. All the above opinions are great too. I think I owned at least one album from every band named so far and many of them I owned more then 1. I really miss Columbia House record club with their 14 albums for a penny deal

ya know Hendrix was voted by some magazine as the greatest rock guitarist ever.......he was great, but the best? I donno.

I just never saw (or heard) enough in Jimmi Hendrix - not enough to ever spend money on his stuff, anyway.

My two favorite bands of all time ! Who would have thought they would do a tour together ? And I missed it !

I went to a Who concert Seattle ca 1990. The planets must have lined up and a star went supernova.

I have never recovered.

Many friends who went to that concert would become speechless when remembering the Who that night.

Breathtaking, overwhelming, transcendental.

Hard Rock?

Black Sabbath of course! "War Pigs", "Electric Funeral", "Ironman" Classic hard rock songs!

I really like their instrumental "Fluff" , even though it is not hard. It is a beautiful peice! It shows how good they really are.

As a musician I tend to look more at talent rather than the phenomenon factor. People I put in the phenomenon category are Jimi and the Beatles. While they were fantastic in their own right, a lot of their fame came from timing rather then raw talent in my opinion.

As far as raw talent my picks would be Lynyrd Skynyrd(more southern rock) Def Leapord and a little known Christian rock band called Stryper. As you can tell I'm partial to guitars.
