who here uses a whites classic id?

whitesid, what a name ;D

I bought a whites classic id march of 99. I use it while detectin in soil, in the midwest.

I've used it a couple of times on the beach prior to owning me excalibur. I tried to waterproof the control box while detectin surf/sand but it still got a drop or 2 of saltwater in her and had to spend some bucks to get her cleaned.

I have a classic 800. I love it! I have had it one year as of this Christmas. I have found 35 rings (one gold, the rest silver). 17 junk rings. 15 various "old" silver. My oldest an 1876 half dollar in a local park. I just cashed in my new coins, not including pennies and have over about $275 in my pocket!

Yep! I love my classic.

IDX Classic SL...Only land machine Ive ever had (3 years).
Easy to use..Super fast signal response...dead nuts pinpointing!
I dont have really great hunting grounds but this machine finds the goodies if they are there.
Doesnt go super deep on dry land.Optimum working condition is in knee deep fresh water.Ive found pennies at 12 inches on sandy lake bottoms.(about 4" on dry ground)
Found 100s in clad....tons of wheats....few silvers....good amount of gold and siver jewelry...lots of relics....great all around machine!
