When she was Barbie Bridges, she was married to Paul Pastore; and they ran a very lucrative porn business in which Barbie starred in quite a few XXX rated movies. After she divorced Pastore, she became involved with the very, very controversial Dr. Gene Scott.
Before he died of cancer in 2005, Dr. Scott "anointed" his wife Melissa (who used to be Barbie Bridges) to take over his multi million dollar (if not multi billion dollar) tv evangelical corporations, travel agencies, several faith centers, and other "consulting" associations. His contract called for a $1 annual salary, plus unlimited expenses. He refused to open the church's books to the scrutiny of independent auditors or follow accounting safeguards. He's defeated repeated attempts by the federal government to examine his church's operations simply by directing contributors to sign pledge slips which specifically state Dr. Scott can spend the money however he likes. Dr. Scott enjoyed chauffeured limousines, Lear jet travel, a mansion in Pasadena, a fleet of racing-horse ranches, and round-the-clock bodyguard protection.
Pastor Melissa Scott's credentials boast that she is fluent in 20 languages. However, her agents won't discuss her former identity, either to confirm or to deny. Currently she is the pastor at the University Cathedral, the home of the largest Protestant congregation in Los Angeles....and her services are nationally televised.
