So I want one of each but I can hardly afford one. I have heard great things about both and there are things I like and dislike about both.

The one thing that I keep coming back to is soil conditions in PA. Most say the MXT will perform better. Some say it does not matter. I say I'm so flippin annoyed with the whole thing that I'm getting a new hobby. Chosing between the two is getting harder and harder.

So will soil condition affect the performance of one more then the other?

Thanks

I can't say much for the XLT as I have an MXT. I can tell you that my MXT can handle high mineralization around mid 80's OK. And I had it at the beach recently also and it kicked but. The only problem there is that it's a little noisy and will get a little jumpy going from wet to dry sand. But that's nothing you really have to worry about. I think it's a great machine. My 2c.

Buy a dfx. Great here in p.a. I would take the mxt over the xlt. More depth from the mxt. I have used all three a ton and like the dfx the best. It handles hotrock mineralization and iron infested area's extremely well.

You can't go wrong with any of the three. Don't stress over it. Go with what you can afford. Mxt is worth every penny of the 700.00 it list for.

Good Luck Jeremy
