When I received my White's MX Sport it came with the Starlite Headphones. These headphones are increadibly small and lite. I really wasn't sure what to make of them at first but after using them in the field, I found them very comfortable with high quality sound. The problem I had was that at times there was a lot of background noise and the headphones aren't able to block that out.

I have used the ProStar headphones for years and like the individual volume adjustment for each ear. I decided to use them on the MXS. Problem is that they are not waterproof nor is the connection into the adapter that comes with the metal detector. I used Plasti-Dip to seal the connection and it worked fantastic (see picture).

With all that said I've finally decided to go with the waterproof headphones that are made for the detector. I contacted White's and they are built the same as the ProStar. They do not have the individual volume control but are waterproof. My decision was based on the "waterproof" package. I thought cleaning salt and grime off the detector would be easier if Everything was waterproof. The MXS headphones also have an extra long cord.

Here's the picture of the Plasti-Dip connection.

Thanks for looking! H Digs

Great idea and I bet it will assist in making them a bit more rugged too. Nice matching of the color you did there too.
