I just wanted to relate my recent experience with Whites. I had bought a pinpointer (Bullseye) last year. This year it got destroyed when my basement flooded. On a whim I emailed Whites and they said send it in. One week later I recieved a brand new one! Outstanding service makes me really wonder if I shouldnt of bought a Whites instead of my Garrett.

I;ve had fantastic luck anytime I have had to request parts from White's. Fantastic service, great detectors and their $200 certificate program for sending in stories they accept...why would you NOT own a Whites? ???

White's is just up the road from me, in Sweethome, OR. I had the need to contact them the other day about one of their units. I was not looking to buy, just rent a unit for a day and I couldn't find one in our town for nothing.

One of the guys from White's took the time to tell me about which unit would do the best job, what its capabilities were, gave me contact info for their reps in town, and described for me how to set the machine up if I did find one in town.

He then went on to say that if I couldn't find one in town, he'd be glad to let me rent one of theirs if I drove on out to Sweethome.

All this and he knew beforehand he wasn't gonna make a sale. Try that at some other places, LOL!

My GM VSat has been through the wringer. Mud, rain, bouncing around the vehicle on roads that lead to nowhere.... you name it. Still works as good as the day I bought it. Had to replace a knob once, thats it.

I have heard great things on White's service and I can say that I love my White's DFX. Still learning, but I have found alot with it and it constantly amazes me and is alot of fun. Some say it's a hard detector to use, but all of the pre settings are great and only if you desire to toy around, then you can get more complex. I use the pre settings so far and have had great success.

I bought my new whites spectrum XLT E-series just two months ago, after about ten years with an upper end bounty hunter I figured it was about time to upgrade. The only reason for waiting SOOOOO long was my adversity to change. At first I was getting a bit discouraged due to the fact that the XLT was so much more of a complex machine, and I was in to much of a hurry to make it find me the holy grail.I pretty much immediately started loading a few different programs I found on the net...HUGE MISTAKE!! This only caused much confusion. So I started over again and did what I was instructed to do by some experienced whites users. That was to start off with the factory programs. To make an already long story shorter,I did and was blown away by how much stuff I was finding and how much digging I didn't have to do after understanding everything the XLT was telling me.Now I'm tweaking some of the settings to make it run even "hotter" and my finds are even getting better.I absolutely LOVE my XLT and can't wait to get even better with it.
Oh yeah, this thread was about service..When I called Whites a young lady walked me through a couple of questions I had Regaurding settings Like I was their best customer. She spent at least 10 minutes on the phone with me and never became aggitated by my surely stupid questions she has probably heard 1000 times before.Thats just further testimony to truely great customer service.I'm a small business man and that type of good business is paramount in a successful company.

Thats my two indian head cents, thanks to my Whites XLT!!

???Well guys I have heard a lot about White machines.soooooo I decided to look up the dealer close to me. Well they are about 20 miles away I went to the one in Beaver Meadows, Pa. on friday afternoon . This guy was no were to be seen..not a sole about the property. This morning I went to the dealer in New Ringold, Pa. The White web page listed his hours as 9 AM sat well at 9:40 there still was no one there and I looked in the window a sign inside listed hours for Sat. as 11AM. Sorry I guess I will buy a detector from some one who keeps regular type business hours. My time is important to. And yess I had called both on friday but no answer.....guess they were busy!

Call Whites and ask. I'm sure they'll be glad to give you listings for every dealer in your neck of the woods. Surely you'll find one eventually who is open!

Most dealers are independent. So they set their own hours and attitudes. No matter which brand they carry. Most carry several different brands. :)

Just got my DFX last week, and love it! Sure, there's a learning curve -- but what a wonderful machine. I think anyone that has one should really read Jeff Foster's "Digging Deeper with the DFX". Makes everything much easier to understand.

Whites really stands behind their products. they know how to treat their customers in a way that makes them want to stay customers! about buying a Garrett, they stand behind their stuff too, and also will treat you right. ;)
