white Half dollar?

Went back to the same site a the other day and found this half dollar... I had several half dollars before but this one seems too white? What u think?

Yup...the Franklin is silver and the other is not. Silver is better...

The silver has to be what you think is white. Have you found silver coins in the past? Or is this your first one. Very nice find. HH

YUP! 1951 Silver Half. If it was VF-20 would be $13. Expect less as condition not that good. Excellent catch. This is a forever keeper for your collection. HHHH

First silver to my knowledge!! 8)

-a US half, quarter, or dime minted 1964 or earlier is 90% silver
-halves dated 1965 to 1970 are 40% silver
-nickels dated 1942 to 1945 are 35% silver (these will have a huge mintmark above the dome of monticello on the reverse)
