Okay,i'll bite. ;D From what I know of white gold (which ain't much) :),"white gold alloy" is actually white gold. There is no such thing as white gold in nature.White gold is an alloy. The only difference between white gold and yellow gold is the alloy metals used in mixing. So I imagine it would sell for the going rate.If it is real? ;) Interesting.Anybody else?

Just do a Google search on "we buy scrap gold" and you'll get plenty of hits.

You could also sell it on eBay. A friend of mine sells 10K and 14K jewelry scrap there all the time and always gets plenty of good bids.

Very nice! :) ,Should be real then,I would assume, since it was in a cigar box with other scrap gold and silver.Maybe you should get a few "nuggets" tested at the local pawn shop or jeweler to check for authenticity anyway, wouldn't hurt? Beats finding out at the last moment before it sells.Very unique.I've never saw anything like that before.

If im not mistaken "White Gold" is a Silver / Gold alloy. Im not to sure how much silver is mixed with the gold to produce it.

For sure, Sell on E-bay. A local shop will most likely low ball yah.

So there is no such thing as Natural White Gold? ::)
I wonder why there is a section of Mining Claims south of Tucson AZ called ORO BLANCO.
Here they mine WHITE GOLD.
Believe it or Not.

DOC: White Gold is not rare in nature. You will often find gold /Copper alloys also, among "many" others. As a matter of fact no mine ever produced pure Gold.

As I mentioned to Pegger, I once owned 30% of the LLuvia de Oro Mine in Chihuahua Mexico. My brilliant partners lost it by not paying the taxes, I learned about it too late. sheeesh legal grounds for homicide.

We were still accumulating $$ for equipment and operating costs.

Last year it produced 1 + million $ of Au for my "FORMER" share.

It is generally advisable to remove jewelry before doing any work where you will be handling chemicals or tools.

Especially "cyanide", sniff, lost a nice gold Chronometer wrist watch frorm my USAF days, now only use cheap plastic ones.around any milling processes.

( I am cheap anyways snicker )

p.s. side thingie,if you ever have a gold/silver ring become stuck on a finger and the finger is swollen to the point that the ring cannot be removed, merely clean the band of the ring at it's thinest spot, then apply Mercury -in a short while the band will sort of "snap" and break apart.

K doc, for a visual view go to -

http://www.mexicohorse.com/Lluvia_ de_ oro.htm (for some reason you have to physically type it in??)

Scroll down to the picture of the basic ore on the left side, enlarge. That is almost a 50% mixtrue of Au/Ag.

Also go to -

www.goldengoliath.com/regional-deposits.html

scroll down and read the ore percentages on the right side. Exaple # 6-8-9-10-11-& 16 give the raito of Au >Ag. they all have Ag alloyed with Au.

Need more. do your own research, lazy hehehehe
