Wheres the Ammo?

just looked at the fbo site, the jhp rounds are listed as requested for use by law enforcement, which does not fall under the 1899 Hague Convention outlawing ammunition that easily expands or flattens in international warfare. With that said, the president can send troops without the consent of congress for a total of 60 days. Written notice must be given to congress within 48 hours of action. I wonder if a Police Action like the Korean war would fall under the 1899 Hague convention?

also, an update on their ammunition order

Why is this subject even being discussed here?

.......probably because it is the most important issue an American citizen is facing right now?

Tlowry...Calif is the building block for everywhere....so no State is safe from this BS

I was in Cabela's Reno today. They had more than Wally but the shelves weren't flush by anybodys standards.

I went to a gunshow here in Texas in january....they were selling 100 round boxes of 22lr ammo for 18.95, I can go to walmart and buy the same for 6.77, if they have it. Ammo in this state is becoming hard to find also.

EVERYONE IS GETTING READY ! Frank 111-1 profile.webp

I think it is only because citizens are buying it in bulk. I couldn't find 9mm FMJ for about 3 weeks when it all started, but no trouble finding it now, just not sure how much I want to cache. I'm sitting on a 1000 rounds right now and every time I target practice I replace what I used.

Well I guess I am going to have to tune up the old torrent head press. It is still easy to get bullets, etc on line. Frank

Went to walmart today and all the ammo behind the glass besides the higher end shotgun ammo is gone. I found a few 100 round boxes of shotgun shells for trap and small game, which I bought, and even that was 5 dollars more a 100 round 12 gauge box and 7 for the 20 gauge 100 round box. They have a sign up saying that "due to demand customers and only buy 3 boxes at a time". This is getting ridiculious.

Bricks (550) of Rem .22Lr $21.95 here. Just have to know the suppliers but all their shipments are cut in half now. Larger caliber iffy but have to watch out on price gouging but they are there. If they are gouging you, you do not have friends cause suppliers are not raising their prices. Best to already be proficient and relax on 5 to 10,000 rounds. No worries.

Buy turkey loads if you can. They are just mean. You should be able to buy dove and upland bird pheasant and quail loads pretty cheap for about 2.75 to 3.50 a box. People are not in a panic here. Shriners had a gun show last weekend and heard they had a good turn out and raised some money for the burn center. Good luck !!

dont think i'll ever see 11.95 500 round bricks of .22 ammo again.

I guess i'll just wait until all the hoarders fill their stocks up again and more bullets remain in surplus, lord knows that like gass, prices go up like a rocket and down like a parachute, if ever at all.

Midway is having a sale on bullets, that is the projectile part. If you load your own, check it out. Frank

Where can you find them so cheap? Walmart used to have target loads for 22-23 for a 4 box pack (5.50 a box) and I just bought a 10 box brick at Cabela's (never on sale) for $7 a box. Even Able had Rio's for $5 when they had them but gone. Gun show's didn't even compete with Wally. I'm paying $17 for Fiocchi pheasant loads.

I have never even heard of those prices unless you are talking about magnum loads . Why are you buying Fiocchi brands anyway? I like what ever is cheapest on sale in 12 ga. it goes so fast anyways. Plus my brother reloads all the hulls.

I know a guy that is currently making good money selling ammo from his personal cache for $1 per round. He sold 500 rounds to just one guy. (Regular caibers not hard to find stuff.) I'm laying off shooting for now and holding on to my ammo. I'm doing a lot more detecting and a lot less shooting these days.

Our Walmart in N Calif has tons of shotgun ammo but little else. Reloading is the way to go for your favorite rounds. It's cheaper, kinda fun and you can load them to your own specs within safety guidelines. Thing is, that stuff will start costing more and get closer controls soon I'm afraid. They will start limiting EVERYTHING. They started with soft drinks in New York. :)

They are a lot cheaper here, seeing quail, dove and pheasant loads for $4-$5.50 a box here and that is buying individual boxes..........
