When I saw it in My Scoop I Started to Drool

Decided to hit the beach today given the rip-tides and all. Prefer water. But on my first good target I saw this ring at the bottom of my scoop and I may have drooled into my scoop...glad it has holes. I quickly put the ring in my pocket as not to draw attention to my giddiness. I sailed through the day with a smile on my face knowing what was in my pocket. Only when I got back to the car, 4 hrs later, did I see the "925" and "China" on the inside of the ring - I fell 1,000 miles back to Earth. Still with some hope, I checked the rocks with my diamond tester but no luck. Oh well, still a real eye catcher.

The beach also surrendered an unmarked 1" compass pendant, water damaged Bat pendant with chain, junk earring, a pair of American/British cuff links found 15 ft apart (by griding the area), 40 coins and a Canadian 25 cent bi-metal quarter that sounded like a bottle cap variant.
Talking about bottle caps, I just set a new World record for the number of bottle caps in one scoop - 13! No, you did not hear that wrong, not 13 in a hunt; that's 13 in ONE scoop. I am not kidding. I about barfed when I saw them all. Try to beat that!
PS And yes, I picked them all up and threw them away.

nice finds. A ring to me is better than another piece of clad. The cuff links are very nice. The pendent is a great find also.
I don't inspect till I am off the beach. I don't want to cut into my detecting time. Nice hunt

Don't ya hate when that happens!

Last 2 platinum rings I found, I stuck 'em down in my pouch, bemoaning "silver" and "cz's",
and was pleasantly surprised later (actually shocked, lol).

Then I've also had silver and cz's sparkle with such ferocity,
I'd swear they could be seen by the international space station.
It's all good, just keep hunting. GL & HH!

Nice finds and we all get to drooling sometimes, but get brought back to reality when things are not what we supposed them to be. Love the ring anyway and the cuff links and compass. Loaned a nice pair of cuff links to another soldier in 1972 and never saw them again. I wasn't much on wearing them, but the shirt and cuff links must have made him drool and go awol at the same time. Lesson learned and life goes on. HH.

The compass pendant might be white gold with diamonds...
