When halves are bad

of course not. Based on your responses, it sounded like all denominations in your area were getting skunky for silver. If that's what you have in your area, you have limited options unless you want to pick up boxes a few cities away. You just gotta keep cranking' through all denominations and you'll eventually get some good scores. I figured you would pick option 1), Im not recommending 2).
Well, heck. I've only been at it for 2 months but its just not a good indicator of what's in my area if you know what I mean. Luckily I can still make a profit doing other things at the bank so any silver will just be a plus but it looks as if my averages are gonna be pretty low. In fact I just hit my biggest skunk streak. 8 boxs......I know it's nothing but like I said things were already bad. Oh we'll..

There are [some] gold deposits up in Vermont. I would be metal detecting and gold panning before it gets too cold. As a side note, you are in a part of the country that likely does not have a whole lot of coinage circulate up your way too often, so that is definitely a disadvantage (assuming Freakmont means Vermont). I am not a professional on coin circulation, but I assume that since you are way up North, not much of the supply from lower parts of the US work their way up there, although... I would ask banks for Canadian coinage, as I bet they get quite a lot of it. I am sure a lot of the old Canadian silvers wind up there from time to time. Hope that helps. Best to you!

I think Easy's in California.

Either take a break for awhile, or double down and increase your volume of halves.

Personally, I wouldn't mind it if silver went back down to $10 again...

That's what I did. Of course, I have been "on a break" now since sometime in early 2011.

Been there. Keep cranking', you'll get out of the skunk streak. Have you tried ordering from other banks? Sometimes people enter a large hunters dump stream and it's hopeless. Just changing banks can get you back on track

I know what you mean. I'll have to open a third account though. Because I've been ordering from 3 WF branches already that are about 10 miles apart ( which is far where I live very dense population) and BOFA won't order for me at all, at least I haven't found a branch that will. So maybe I try Chase?.......

Not sure what's the best branch for you, it all depends on area. Here BOFA is ok with ordering. Chase gives me more problems, trying to tell me I'm not an account holder and can't exchange coins because I don't have a checking or saving account, even though I have a credit card with them
