help identifiying this. Hub has 2.5in inside dia.

Tractor part? Patton's jeep?

Reminds me of an impeller housing for a centrifugal pump.

It is a hub from a wheel. It is later(from the automotive era). The early autos used iron hubs but still used wooden spokes.
