good day to every one, i decided to hit a old house ive been driving past for several weeks now on my way to other sites. i figure it must have been built in the late 1920's earlier 1930's from the look of the other houses in the neighbor hood. the windows and doors on the first floor were boarded up and all the second floor windows were broken, so im assuming no one has lived here for awhile. as i got out my gear i hit the front yard and with in 10 minutes i pulled out 2 silver quarters 1935, 1936. as i was rubbing off the dirt a police car pulled up and the officer asked what i was doing, so i told him im just detecting for old coins, he looked at my gear and said ok have fun and drove off. that was the easiest encounter i have ever had with the cops. i think it was because it was 6am and it was time for shift change "mental note hunt during shift change". i then started to hit the side yard that had a bout 1/2 dozen fruit tree's and came up with 3 wheaties 1925,1947,1955. at this point i was grinning like a fool and continued to scan until i hit the back yard. after a hour in the back yard i got a good quarter signal and dug a 1929 standing lib quarter with a partial date. i continued on until i notice a rather large hole in the ground and alot of wasps flying in and out. after 10 more minutes and multiple wasps buzzing me i retreated to a empty parking lot right next to the house and next to a local bar. i hit the parking lot for about 30 minutes and came up with approx 3.50 in clad one being a susan b. dollar from 1980. i figured i had got my fill for the day and plan to come back with some wasp killer next week to finish that back yard. keep your coil low and dig dig dig.
