Weird, that device is on a camera hotshoe. It would slide on the flash adapter of a camera or other accessory, even has the contact point in the middle. Just not sure how it would be used, as yet. I was thinking something like a flash slave trigger.

the lens looks optical but can explain the lack of a viewing side
cant tell if there are electronic contacts or if they are screw mounts on the shoe

Thanks for the info everyone! Mystery solved.

Now I just need to figure out why the Russians are carrying out covert night missions near my hometown :o

My first in many years of viewing the forum. I think PBK is safe for now. ;D

If it wouldn't have said Russia on the back I'd have been clueless as usual.
