You need a special permit to hunt those in Florida now.You don't see them too much down here in Southern Florida.I remember catching a few years ago up near Gainesville.Here's another one with a girth of 44.75 inches weighing in at 244.5 lbs,and measuring a little over 8'2".PBK said:Here's an Arkansas "delicacy" for you... an alligator gar 8' 2" long and weighing 240 lbs., caught in the White River. (One 8' 5" long and weighing 356 lbs. was reportedly caught at Horseshoe Lake, Arkansas in 1931.) Water hunting, anyone?
