Please post your piece if you have one.
For me, this ground arrowhead would be it. It’s not of a material strong eneough for a functional point, and was likely ornamental. Wish it had the tip. I often wonder if there wasn’t a suspension hole. There is no sign of one at the break tho.

It's hard to pick, but among my favorite was probably this cache of pottery. The bottles and bowls were found basically like this, the small little figurine was about 6 inches above the cache. including the lid and some shells, there were a total 12 pieces of pottery in the cache.

That had to be incredible fun digging that stuff up.

I know you've probably told me before, but where in Portsmouth? I live 10 minutes from Portsmouth.

Killer Cache of Adena artifacts.
It was either Front St. or 2nd St. not far from the river. Man, its been over 40 years ago. I had a good friend in Lucasville & I drove down from Columbus to help him on his job. Glad I did!

this is a broken slave killer. the source of the stone it was made from comes from about 1,200 from where I found it. there was a lively trade up and down the pacific coast and thanks to modern day tech we can now pin point sources for all kinds of artifacts.

no. this is the "blade" end, the handle has a hole at the end of it

I'd probably have a heart attack finding the artifacts posted here. Incredible some of these are in the condition they are, especially the pottery.

I have some nice points but nothing like what is posted here. Amazing
