What's Watching You? O_O

After prospecting alone for a while and feeling that eerie feeling of something or somebody watching me.. I decided to put out some trail cams in the woods around my to keep an eye on what critters are watching me while I'm prospecting. Not that I'm worried about animals attacking me or anything, I'm just curious to see what's out there. I've never seen an animal while prospecting except little animals like squirrels and birds & snakes etc. I'll be putting these out every time I go out so if I get any more I'll post them to the same thread. This first one came around a few hours after I put the camera out. Wasn't expecting to get anything on camera the first day.

That was cool watching it stalk ... So dawm cute those cats but they will fu$@ u up..

Oh yeah.. Getting cooler in SoCal boys, almost time for desert mining!!

I just left the south east part of the country going on a year ago now and am glad to be away from all the sneaky critters out there! Gator that sneak up and try to grab ya at the waters edge, snakes that don't have no rattles on them and bite for no reason other than they saw ya, wild hogs that will put any bear to shame when it comes to size and attitude and the ever present red neck cops that are just waiting for a long hair like me to bust for no reason!

Yup, I'll stick to rattlers, javilinas, mountain lions, black bears, scorpions, trantulas, Gila Monsters and cops that speak english thank you very much!

A friend sent an email this morning, just happened to have this in it.
Cat behavior, :cat: :laughing7:

At least, ya'll don't have alligators up there, when bending down at them waters' edge.
But then, we don't have gold in our canals, down here. :icon_scratch:
Good luck & HH!

You definitely don't want to go see that handsome fellow only to find out that he is on the outside of the encloser with you:nono:!:icon_pale:

Great quality cam video... which model are you using?

You must not have come over to So Cal :laughing9:

duuuuuude! :headbang: I was born and raised in S.Cal. :headbang: I was referring to the Southern cops drawl when they talk. you know... Ya'll in a heap o trouble now sun...... Some of their drawls were so bad it didn't even sound like human speech! ???

Any hunters on here that know if a predator call would attract a lion? Like a rabbit distress call? I'm into photography and it would be awesome to get a shot of one.(without becoming kitty chow..) I have predator calls on my phone and a wireless speaker that can be used from pretty far away. There's a huge open area near where I have the trail cam.

I had a buddy using the call for coyotes (animal ones) and had a bobcat come up behind him and sit on top of rock he was sitting against. So I'd say yes. Just make sure you're watching 360 degrees and not just front and sides. Cats attack from behind.

I tell the guys at work " It's amazing what you can see if you go places other than that bar stool". I have only lived here 12 years but have seen more bears than 90% of the people who were born here at work. Great video of a beautiful animal. They are such a shy creature, most never get the chance to see one. Thanks for sharing that. BTW, awesome sheep pic posted too!

The wilderness is what lead me to mining, and the reason I love it so much. Every wild encounter I have is making my time out there as rich as gold does, and then to find gold too, all the better. I see a bad trend occurring all around the wilderness. The indigent have found that the wilderness can be a refuge to some degree. Americans without a home or a job are a people without a country. What a sad reality. Well it's time to post my warning sign again.

I'm noticing that in some places too. Met a guy a couple years ago that lives on some blm owned land. Just walks around the woods all day drunk.. I talked to him for a little bit. He use to be a miner. Seems like he was one of those who wanted to make it into a living and it didn't go too well..

Tomorrow I'll probably be posting another video. My camera has been set up for about a week now so there should be something good on there! Always exciting looking through the footage you just never know what's going to pop up on the screen.

Here's the new video. I set it out on 10/11/13 and collected the footage today but only got one good video out of it. You'll see why.. lol.
