Started as a Plumber's Helper in 1966.
Retired 50 years later in 2016, as a Plumbing Supervisor with New York City Transit.
Now collecting a Pension, Social Security, and doing all the coil swinging I can manage.

I'm in charge of the drop team (counting money)at a casino, still looking for some good serial numbers. I also have a small part time antique store. I supplement income with e bay and lawn mowing! Stop in and say hello if your in the area!
 

I am retired that gives me more time to chase the ladies on beaches yelling that I am the mood. More time for treasure hunting.
 

After seeing what S.S. pays...its what ever i can come up with!

Well now that I turn 62 this summer I guess I get to get the big bucks from S.S. now. I've been retired since 06'. All I do now is make a few toy boxes for folks who'd like them for a little extra cash.
 

77 and ******ed, I mean RETIRED for 12 years. Worked in Property Development for a Big Box Co.

I work in industrial heat...yes folks, it's 90+ degrees out and I'm working on industrial heaters..lol. We supply heat to coal mines, oil pads, fracking sites, construction sites, etc...of course when it is a little colder out. Great post..old, but cool ! Ddf
 

.As a civilian. ...off shore oil exploration -Bering sea , de-armament , backpack hand launch drone turbines(with MIT) , next gen Shuttle engine development and first to plate copper on vapor deposited ceramic in a carbon fiber matrix , nuclear hardness and survivability including line of sight communication , minute man and midget man mobil (shell game) launchers on double Terex testing bed , armament projectile tip densification testing , h&s , r&d , 30+years as 1st responder , destructive and non destructive testing of anything , air quality protocols for all sectors , hazMat with chits to nuclear , i never finished highschool and I like kitties and doggies . Lost 110 pounds after 7 years....... I divorced that woman ! Died once before my first retirement and twice after my second ,to heart attacks . After 5 years fighting back from a traumatic, anoxic brain injury I'm doing pretty good! Did I mention that I like kitties ?

Buyer for a worldwide software manufacturer and seller. I buy all of the items that go into the retail product boxes and support for the distribution center. Been here 7 years and prior to that was almost 30 years of of buying for an industrial electronic company. I figured that I will be here until they completely go to download and subscription products. Then they will not need me and I had better have seen the handwriting on the wall and headed to the next stop in the job line. I am hoping to get closer to my retirement target of somewhere on a beach. No

I'm a loan originator who is blessed to be able to work out of his house at night email in his loans in the morning and metal detect the rest of the day.
