Don't feel tormented------I'd call that a mini-cache! Nice find! What were the dates or were they all clad?

90's mostly, one or two may have been copper. You wouldn't see me complaining about finding 8 wheatbacks or indians in one hole... You probably wouldn't see me at all, as I'd be lying in the park dead from shock.

Multiple coins in one hole is more common than you would expect. People sit down next to a tree, pull their legs up, and out go the coins.
I was once detecting in a fairgrounds, and next to a large tree, I found a Walking Lib half, 2 Standing Lib. quarters, 1 Washington quarter, and 3 Mercury dimes. They were all stacked largest to smallest.

I once found a roll of wheaties in the front of a high school about 2 inches down. Paper was rotting away and since it was Holly High, there were only 48 wheaties. Must of been dropped from a fair or something.
