It is at this very moment being 'tracked' from a foreign country. I am as anxious as a kid the night before Christmas...
I'll keep you all posted. I don't actually trust the USPS..but I have no choice.

ps Yes, it is insured.

Did you get this yet?
Was it worth what you paid?
What DID you pay?
I used to see stuff like this on eBay for like $30, but was always to chicken to deal international.

It is still on a slow boat from China..lol.

When I have bought from China using e-bay it has usually taken 4 - 6 weeks.

I am having a bad day...
Having said this...

I checked the tracking code with the USPS...

The ring took three days to come over from China..
And now has been sitting in NY for about 10 days!!!

UPDATE: Today saturday the prize arrived. Just like th photo spectacular. Get this. I tell the wife it is a size 6. She says, no way can I wear it. Then puts it on her finger...and as it slides on with ease...she says, this is NOT a size 6...I'll keep it...It fits....lol

Just FYI:

Colour above (almost) everything

Colour is a ruby's most important feature. Its transparency is only of secondary importance. So inclusions do not impair the quality of a ruby unless they decrease the transparency of the stone or are located right in the centre of its table. On the contrary: inclusions within a ruby could be said to be its 'fingerprint', a statement of its individuality and, at the same time, proof of its genuineness and natural origin. The cut is essential: only a perfect cut will underline the beauty of this valuable and precious stone in a way befitting the 'king of the gemstones'. However, a really perfect ruby is as rare as perfect love. If you do come across it, it will cost a small fortune. But when you have found 'your' ruby, don't hesitate: hang on to it!
