Good for you... and I wish you and her the best. Just press patience over and over and over (we all know). You all will find something. And then photo, post and tell the story... it should mean more than anything bought on ebay. I can't wait to see her 1st finds... I just hope it's a real old coin.... we all do.

I actually hope she finds a coin that blows any of mine out of the water, or something that blows any of my finds out of the water. That would be a neat feeling letting a friend best you on their first great find. That might be enough for her to sign up on here and finally stop being shy haha! Once again thank you for the support and Ideas Guys/Gals! Good Karma is coming to all of you!

I second the notion she has a good friend. Honesty is always the best policy. Ask her along with you on a hunt. Find a potentially good target. Call her over show her how you found it, ask her to swing over it and explain to her what her machine is saying. Let her dig it and hopefully it is a great find. Keep teaching.....you'll be repaid well.

Sometimes.......a persons faith in what they are doing can be boosted with a little help. If you want to build her faith in the detector, and you have old stuff to part with, maybe you should bury a piece that will get her fired up when she unkowingly finds it all by herself........with a little guidance from you telling her where to search. What could it hurt? Just keep a straight face and act very excited when she locates it herself.

Do two things, tell her you think they are fake and the reason you think that, also tell her location of search is the most important factor in finding good targets. Now guide her through the researching process. You two could have a ball researching together at the library. Just my thoughts, Frank...

Lol Online will be the research... Lets go with I have to many habitual offenses of not returning books of historical valuable things giving me history in this area on time lol. My Library card is about as good as ice in the arctic haha!

Now L.C. Baker.... damn it... you are right (I admit/agree). But now she can't read the thread and see the support from the thread if she finds something great. Now I hope she finds a U.S. 1849C gold coin. I recently sold one with no C. Big difference!!!!!!

If she finds Jimmy Hoffa though... I don't care how good of a friend she is. I claim that find! Other than that, I hope to make sure she finds something legit. If I planted a find.. inside my jimmney Cricket conscious would eat me alive. I want to make sure she digs something I am jealous of
