What type of metal is this?

Found on the beach on the treasure coast. Seems too hard to be silver. Its not magnetic. Maybe pewter? I'm a newbie so any helpful hints would be very appreciated thanks!
 

could be what is left from a bonfire on the beach or even from a charcoal grill. Often times aluminum cans are thrown in the fire and come out as blobs, usually not recognizable and sometimes heavy if the can melted into a solid blob. If it has been there a while it can take on a strange look. You can do a metals test on it to be sure.

Okay I'll give it a try. I figured if it was a melted can it'd be magnetic. But thanks for the info.

It could be space junk. Lots of unique alloys are scattered along that part of Florida.
